Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner sign Netflix deal

summer house alum Paige DeSorbo And Hannah Berner have already evolved from reality TV stars to award-winning podcasters. Now he is taking another big step in his career to star in a new film Netflix comedy series.

The streaming giant is developing a new half-hour scripted comedy, which will be co-written and headlined by the longtime best friends. The show is to be produced by SNL alumnus Amy Poehler. 30 Rock writer Canon is also involved as co-writer and showrunner.

Set in NYC, the untitled Hannah and Page project portrays them as fictional versions of themselves. I’m watching a modern Laverne and Shirley, as the ultimate ride or die become the people they were always meant to be.

according to deadlineFormer Bedbugs Hannah and Page will be executive producers. Amy and Kay will also executive produce the show for Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The project evolved from an idea by Paige and Hannah. The women first met when they both worked at the same company in NYC for some time. But they really got to know each other and became BFFs in the summer house. They both joined the show during season 3.

Ultimately, Hannah left Summer House after Season 5 to launch her stand-up career. Paige focused on her career as a fashion influencer after season 9.

The two co-host their own podcast together Gigli Squadwhich won iHeart’s Podcast of the Year earlier this month. She’s also occasionally chosen odd acting jobs, like Mindy Kaling’s upcoming Hulu series Not Suitable for Work.

In May 2025, Hannah opened for Tina Fey and the Emmys with her stand-up routine. She also headlined the 2024 Netflix comedy special Hannah Berner: We Ride at Dawn.
