Prince William earns a lot in 2025
According to Duchy of Cornwall Integrated Annual Report for 2025William received a whopping $31 million (£22.9 million) for the 2024-2025 financial year.
The Duchy of Cornwall is a centuries-old collection of lands and businesses that automatically provide large private incomes to the British heir. When the Queen died in 2022 and Charles became king, William inherited the estate. The estate is worth a staggering $1 billion, and includes a portfolio of land, property, farms, businesses and investments in England and Wales.
However, the income William receives from the property is not entirely luxury money. This includes his household and staff expenses as well as his official and charitable work. Once William ascends the throne, the property and title of the Duchy of Cornwall will pass to his eldest son, Prince George.
Income from the Duchy of Cornwall is William’s main income, but it is not the only source of his wealth. He is also likely to receive a huge personal inheritance from the Queen Mother and Princess Diana.
William has previously revealed how he tries to talk to his children about his family’s privilege. talking to sunday timesHe added: “They’ll (really) grow up knowing that, do you know what, some of us are very lucky, some of us need a little help, some of us need to do a little more where we can help others make their lives better.”
One person who would probably have been particularly concerned about William’s vast wealth is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The disgraced former royal is said to be struggling to hold on to his lavish estate after reportedly being given the boot by the monarchy.
