Police may have the man responsible for the Beverly Hills shooting. Firing allegedly took place at the house of Rihanna And A$AP Rocky. According to police, it appears to be an attempt to murder, with no injuries reported.
Rihanna was apparently at home at the time of the alleged incident. A call came in to 9-1-1 shortly before 1:30 p.m. local time on Sunday. Reports suggest that several rounds were fired from an AR-15 style rifle on Sunday.
Evanna Lisette Ortiz is in custody on attempted murder charges.
It did not take long for the police to find a suspect in this case. On Monday, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said hollywood reporter Evanna Lisette Ortiz remains in custody after the shooting. The 35-year-old’s bail is set at $10,225,000.
The bullets apparently hit the wall of his house. After the alleged murder attempt, police chased the woman to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks. There they caught him. It is unclear whether the couple’s three young children were at home at the time of the incident. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have children RZA, three, Riott, two, and Rocky Irish, who was born last September.
In January, the pop singer helped the rapper break down a common stigma against modern women. Loyalty and family were clearly responsible for the change in his perception.
In 2022, the rapper was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Upon his arrest detectives searched his home for clues to the alleged incident. In the end, a jury found a man named Rakim Athelston Meyers not guilty.
