Instead, she will reportedly seek a “private residence.” Additionally, the outlet noted that Buckingham Palace officials were hopeful that Ferguson would get her own home after her ex-husband surrendered the lease on the Royal Lodge.
A friend claimed, “He and Sarah will be going their separate ways for the first time in almost 20 years.” Meanwhile, an earlier report suggested his daughters were “angry” at losing the 31-room property set. The princesses thought of it as a family estate and believed it would allow “an easy life in retirement”.
An insider claimed the Royal Lodge was supposed to be a “safety net” for Beatrice and Eugenie. Unlike his parents, he has not been stripped of his royal titles. But losing the Windsor estate has reportedly ended their “long-term security”.
