Fans compare Sydney Sweeney and Lindsay Lohan
The Euphoria star recently had a variety photoshoot where she wore a hot-pink bikini, soft glam makeup, open wavy hair and block heels. She sat on a large block of ice, posing sideways, her surprised expression facing the camera. Many fans found the photoshoot to be similar to Lohan’s 2004 Rolling Stone photo.
In this, Lohan wore a blue bikini, over which there was a shirt, some of whose buttons were open. She completed it with burgundy open hair, minimal makeup and blue heels. She was stylishly sitting on a piece of artificial ice with her face towards the camera.
While some praised Swinney’s photoshoot, others criticized her for copying Lohan’s style. “Goodbye Sydney sweetie. You can never be her,” one fan wrote. Another shared a photo of Lohan’s photoshoot, writing, “She wants to.” A third noted, “Hey he actually approved this?” “Copying first Britney and now Lindsay… don’t touch my family,” a fourth user said.
Last year, in an interview with DiversitySweeney acknowledged the fact that she has no control over the body-shaming comments she receives about her appearance. She said, “I look at it, and I can’t allow myself to react to it. I don’t know how to explain it – I’m still trying to figure it out myself.”
He further explained, “People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in any way, because they believe I have given up my life. I’m no longer on a human level, because I’m an actor. These characters are for everyone else, but then for me, because Sidney is no longer for me. People have this weird relationship with me that I have no control over or to say the least.” His address came amid online backlash over his SNL hosting gig.
