Last week, the finale concluded with Audrey ending her relationship with Chris, after Chris had flip-flopped on the issue of committing to her several times. He also closed the door on improving things with Angelica and did not apologize for mistreating her on stage. Although they did not reconcile, Angelica and Shayne made up when Shayne asked for another chance. So, where does everyone stand now? That’s exactly what happened on Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 13: “Reunion Part 1.”
What happened on Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 13?
Andy got to the bottom of what happened between Chris and Audrey, with Chris admitting that his feelings for her were not just for show. Meanwhile, Venus still did not have a good relationship with Kim and Marcus and felt that their relationship was at some point. And Angelica was not on good terms with most of the group because of her online behavior. Natalie was upset, Angelica posted that they were “boring”, and Jason was upset Angelica took his text and posted it out of context. Angelica also posted about Audrey, who dramatically said, “You bitch!” From Audrey at the end of the episode.
Demi denies being in love triangle with Natalie and Paulo
It was just like old times for Andy and Lisa, except there was a new group of Survers in the hot seat this season. This leads to Andy asking Lisa about people comparing the old guard versus the new. Lisa thought they were “different people, different problems, different lives”. Not a white chunky knit sweater as it looks.
Andy brought us back to the beginning of the season when Natalie was angry at Demi because she threw her out of tune for yelling at her ex Paulo. We later found out that Paulo was also Demi’s ex-husband. Or so we thought.
Demi cleared the air, saying Paulo was just a “liar.” He wanted something more serious, and when she couldn’t give him that, he went after Natalie. And Demi wanted everyone to know that there was no love triangle between them.
She said, “Honestly, that’s what brought us closer. I feel like there’s been this whole story going on that, like, Natalie and I are fighting over a guy, and that never happened.”
But the one who thought they were fighting over some guy was Kim. Kim was okay with Natalie messaging Marcus all the time. Natalie explained that she only reached out to Marcus to thank him for supporting her when she was kicked out of SUR.
However, things escalated when Natalie felt that Kim had been “bullying” her throughout the season. Kim denied such allegations and claimed that Natalie was spreading misinformation. Natalie appeared on Lala Kent’s podcast and reiterated that she had no interest in Marcus and thought the other girls were hell-bent on believing that story.
Natalie told Kim, “You’ve told so many lies about me. We could go on and on all day.” Andy quipped, “No, we can’t.”
Chris claimed he was being truthful with Audrey
After this, Chris and Audrey came into limelight on their relationship. Things were all sunshine and rosy until red flags started emerging for Audrey. Since Chris had been on two dating shows before, she wondered if he was being genuine with her. And then there was the matter of Jason’s brother overhearing Chris telling him that they were going to do “crazy shit” in Bali. Not a good look.
Andy asks Chris if he is showing his true self or is it just for show. Chris gave a detailed answer about how it’s different from his dating show. He said, “There are a lot of people who go on reality dating shows and get into fake relationships. And they want to dominate it, and they want to win awards. This is not a dating show.”
But then there was an explosion. Audrey told producers that when the show began airing, someone posted online that they were sleeping with Chris while she was watching him on the show. Chris was astonished.
Natalie said she was the one who shared the Reddit thread with Audrey. She told Chris, “Basically, what it said was that they were watching you, and you were telling this person that the relationship between you and the person on the show was fake.”
However, both Natalie and Audrey do not believe it. They thought Chris was being truthful. And Chris agreed. He said that his relationship with Audrey was “one hundred percent” real. And he dismissed the Reddit thread as a bunch of haters.
Andy then tried to find out if Chris had slept with anyone else while he was seeing Audrey. Chris replied, “A thousand percent not.” So why did Chris change his mind about Audrey?
Venus, Marcus and Kim were still not in good shape
Andy puts on his detective hat and prompts Chris to explain why he changed his feelings about Audrey. Chris said, “I know it’s very inconsistent. Because I was about it one day and not about it the next day… I feel like either I’m just saying it now because I’m not ready, or I keep talking nonsense and I keep lying to myself, lying to you.” However, Audrey was not looking to settle down; She just wanted it to be special.
“I’m not going to be that girl who watches this happen and watches her self-esteem shatter,” Audrey said. Lisa told Audrey to “be you girl”, and then it was onto another challenging relationship: Marcus and Kim.
Marcus and Kim were continuing their story, “It’s okay. I’m okay. Everything’s okay!” And Venus didn’t think they were right. He felt that they were not compatible and said, “I think it’s really a shame, and they can do better.” Venus wasn’t messing around.
Marcus did not take this lightly and said that Venus was inflicting issues from their previous relationship on him. Surprisingly, Venus agreed. Venus revealed that he had several toxic relationships when he lived in Texas, where he endured abuse. “When I was younger it pushed me towards suicidal thoughts and things,” he said. And that’s why he put the brakes on dating.
Seeing Venus upset, Marcus had tears in his eyes and apologized for being harsh with her. Andy was hopeful that the trio could reform, but Venus was not sure. He said, “To be honest, I am at a point in my life where I have neither any resentment nor anything in my mind. This is where we stand.”
Now it was time to move on to Angelica and all the drama between her and the cast. First up was Jason. The two had already come to blows after Jason lied about not seeing anyone and threw her around too much on their jiu-jitsu date. Jason apologized but then revealed that Angelica had distorted the story on social media.
She posted a screenshot of Jason’s text explaining that the injuries she suffered during their jiu-jitsu date were caused by “rough sex.” Jason tells her to take it off and says he was joking that they were Mr. and Mrs. Smith. “I thought what you posted was out of context, quite rude and very immature,” he said.
And he wasn’t the only one to feel that way. Natalie said that Angelica made the group posts “boring” and that if there was another season, it was only because of her. “To be honest, yes, I thought you guys were boring,” Angelica said.
Angelica also dragged Audrey online and criticized her for calling her a “homy hopper.” Fear Audrey also said that she was joking. But it didn’t seem like that.
Andy noticed and asked why Audrey looked so mad. Audrey explained because she was brutalized on social media. When Angelica intervened she was doing the same, with Audrey saying, “Shut the fuck up, you fucker. Fuck you, because you started it, you fucker!”
