World Darts Championship dancer was a Love Island bombshell – but only lasted four days

The World Darts Championship is in full swing – and some eagle-eyed fans might notice one of the PDC dancers from her short stint on Love Island

Lacey Edwards is bringing the glitz and glam to the World Darts Championship this festive period – but eagle-eyed fans might recognise her from elsewhere.

Before she was dancing behind the best the darting world has to offer, Lacey was a Love Island bombshell. Starring on season eight of the series, alongside the likes Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma Owen and Tasha Ghouri, she entered the villa midway through the series.

Lacey wasted no time in getting to know the boys, and hooked up with Casa Amor bombshell Deji Adeniyi in the Mallorcan villa. However, just four days into her stay, she was sadly voted out alongside Deji.

The pair were one of the couples voted ‘least compatible’ by the others, and were asked to leave the villa. Their relationship wouldn’t last too much longer, and at the wrap party they were no longer an item.

“I really, really enjoyed my time in the villa… It was definitely short and sweet,” she told Love Island’s social channels after leaving.

“I was very excited to be entering as a bombshell, it was really, really fun and I was excited to see if I could turn anyone’s heads. There was a lot of strong couples in there but I’m glad Deji found me attractive – and I did my job.”

However, a couple of weeks later, she explained to the Mirror: “Me and Deji are FaceTiming and talking every day. It was so nice to see him at the wrap party.

“We really wanna carry on things but right now we’re just on different paths. He’s at one event and I’m at one event and we’re trying – it was so good to see him on Monday.

“We’re still talking and I’ll see him tomorrow so many when things calm down a bit. I said to him: ‘You haven’t taken me on a date yet, come on!’

“But going from that intense environment dating so intensely to coming out to the normal world where it slows down it makes it really strange but I’m hoping he’ll take me out soon.”

Since leaving the villa, Lacey worked as a flexibility coach before earning the chance to perform on the Ally Pally stage as she auditioned for the role.

She made her dancing debut at the Ally Pally last winter, and has returned for more this time around.
