The protest follows images from Wednesday, September 16, when Trump returned to Maryland after North Carolina Campaign Rally. In the pictures, Trump is looking at a poster showing a plan to demolish the Kennedy Center. Federal housing official Bill Pulte stood with Trump as he examined the poster on Air Force One. Pulte later took several posters from the plane.
Trump repeated his threat to demolish the center if courts continued to block efforts to add his name to the building. “For the Trump administration, for me to get involved in this and take it on long-term and move it forward, or raise money to move it forward, I think the Trump administration should definitely be recognized,” he told reporters. Trump said that without that accreditation the center could be closed or “destroyed.”
