Love Island USA season seven winner Amaya Espinal was hospitalized this weekend.
According to TMZ, the reality television star was rushed to an area Los Angeles hospital after experiencing abdominal pain. While the 26-year-old is now recovering, the cause of her illness has not been confirmed.
Espinal has reportedly been filming the new season of Love Island spinoff Beyond the Villa, but was not on set at the time of her medical emergency. During the most recent season of the dating competition, Espinal won alongside Bryan Arenales, but the two are no longer an item.
“My Papayas—Bryan and I are no longer together,” Espinal wrote in a statement on her Instagram Story in August, per NBC. “After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys. Our visions didn’t align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty.”
“All love here and I truly wish him the best,” she concluded.
Since the latest Love Island season wrapped, Espinal has been active on social media and in press rounds. Her TikTok account last posted on Tuesday (December 16), although it appears to be pre-recorded.
