Flavor Flav, who goes by real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr., recently took to social media to invite the U.S. women’s hockey team to celebrate their Olympic victory. He mentioned that if the team is ready for a “real celebration”, he would be happy to host them in Las Vegas. He also revealed that he can arrange hotels and flights, as well as put together nice dinners and shows for the celebration.

Flavor Flav went to BlueSky to invite the U.S. women’s hockey team with a brief message and a gift, expressing excitement with the caption “Yeah Boy”. He wrote, “If the USA Women’s Hockey Team wants a real celebration and invitation, I will host them in Las Vegas. Throw in some nice dinners and shows and good times.” Assuring that all the arrangements will be taken care of by him, he further added, “I am sure I can get a hotel and an airline to help me here and I can celebrate these women in a real way.”
His invitation comes in the wake of the US women’s hockey team turning down a White House invitation to attend the State of the Union ceremony. The decision came after President Donald Trump joked to the US men’s hockey team that they would have to invite the women’s team as well; Otherwise, he would probably be “impeached.”
Responding to the invitation, a spokesperson for the team Said“We are sincerely grateful for the invitation extended to our gold medal-winning U.S. women’s hockey team and deeply appreciate the recognition of their extraordinary accomplishment. Due to time and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the Games, the athletes are unable to participate.”
After publicly inviting them out, Flavor Flav also took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the formal email he sent to the team. In the email, he also explained that he had heard the news that the White House had invited the men’s team, but “absolutely not” the women’s team. Then he came up with the idea of throwing a real celebration for the team and shared an official invite.
