Why in the City viewers are angry with Amanda Batula

fans are not happy Amanda Batula. And episode of June 23 in the city Failed to help his case. In this episode, Kyle Cooke went out and partied the night before Amanda officially moved out of their apartment. Still, viewers were put off by the way Amanda reacted to his apparent lack of care.

For years, Amanda begged Kyle to live a domestic life with her, but Kyle still went out, only to return home either drunk or disheveled. Naturally, their marriage began to unravel. Not helping their case, the way Kyle talked to Amanda was often pretty terrible, especially when he was drunk, and his flirtatious behavior wasn’t exactly nice either. Therefore, for many Summer House seasons, fans overwhelmingly sided with Amanda.

However, things are different in their spin-off series, In the City. In this series, Amanda and Kyle are beginning to move on after their separation. Still, Amanda’s interactions with her estranged husband remain stuck in their “not fun” past. And because of this Amanda is now making a lot of headlines among the fans.

In the final moments of episode 5, Amanda moves out of the apartment she once shared with Kyle. However, the night before their big move, Kyle refuses to stay at the house and help her pack her things. Instead, he went out. And then, he “brought strangers back to (their) house while (she was sleeping),” she alleged.

Additionally, Amanda added, “I was getting emotional last night thinking about how this would be our last night together in the apartment. And you do the one thing that you know makes me angry, which is come back late.” But Kyle argues by reminding Amanda that he spent the weekend smoking. “You didn’t do anything,” she argued, and “we had plans.”

Amanda failed to capture him. Instead, she called Kyle again this week and accused him of bringing “fans” to her apartment during her last night together. Kyle clarified this, saying that both of them were “very nice” and that he actually had a mutual friend with them. Nevertheless, Amanda labeled his behavior “crazy”.

As Amanda explained, she wanted her husband to come home. She also did not want “to see something about him on the Internet the next day.” But, as fans saw in Episode 6, there were a number of reasons why Kyle intentionally left this story out.

Kyle admits to “disrespecting” his marriage

Amanda took the initiative to go out. Kyle had no contribution in this. So, as he confessed to a producer on episode 6 this week, his behavior was a direct result of not knowing how to respond. He said, “Her last night in our house, a night where I stayed out and kind of disrespected our marriage, it was kind of a knee-jerk reaction that I didn’t know how to process and, frankly, how to be around it.”

Then, viewers saw flashback conversations that Kyle had with several of his male co-stars. In this chat, Kyle revealed that he was on “the most stressful investor call ever” for Loverboy, while Amanda was packing. These calls prevented him from helping her with last-minute packing. So, in his mind, Amanda was “offended” for two reasons.

The first reason was that he “wasn’t able to help” her. The second is that he “went out” the night before she was supposed to leave. “I just feel guilty because she was basically in tears,” Kyle admitted to his friends.

Several times later, Kyle tells Amanda that he feels bad about how things went between them. He also controlled his behavior. Yet, Amanda still decided to bring up her past, and it disappointed fans.

Fans in The City are tired of Amanda revisiting old issues from her marriage with Kyle

Kyle admitted that he “performed.” He felt bad. But instead of listening to him, Amanda glared at him again, noting that he “had been acting for 10 years.” She then asked, “When you cheated on me and had sex with someone else, were you acting? Was that acting?”

However, Kyle remained calm and revealed that he cheated on her “about 10 years ago,” when he was “younger and afraid to commit.” But Amanda interjected, “Yeah, and nothing has changed. That’s what I have a problem with.” At this point, Kyle realized, he would “never be disappointed” with Amanda.

Despite this, Kyle tried to explain, saying, “If you really put everything on my head…” but Amanda cut him off. “It’s hard to leave the past behind when you keep doing the same shit,” she explained, referring to a night out on the town right before her big move. And that’s when Amanda lost the plot, as fans immediately flocked to Reddit to discuss her “tense conversation” with Kyle.

One of the first posters said, “She’s still bringing up his pre-marital cheating.” Another Redditor agreed. She uses this as a get out of jail card. And she does it “for every conversation, always,” added a third fan.

Viewers said that Amanda also gets distracted at irrelevant times. “He’ll talk about how his slovenliness/dirt/clutter bothers her, and she’ll say, ‘I’m only like this because you cheated on me.'” So, can Amanda make things right with fans? only time will tell.
