Although the two appeared in the same Old Navy holiday campaign, they did not get a chance to meet because their parts were filmed on different days. Nevertheless, Cumming has been following her work and is clearly impressed by her personality and sense of humor.
“I’m thrilled with Meg,” Cumming told the publication. He also praised her performance in the holiday commercials, saying, “I really admire her and she’s so hilarious in these commercials.”
Additionally, the actor particularly appreciates Stalter’s willingness to embrace unconventional fashion choices. He recalled her appearance at the Emmys, where she was dressed as the actual Emmy Award. He added, “I love how bold she is, like at the Emmys when she came in as Amy, she was genius!”
Cumming further admitted, “That’s the one I admire the most.”
Meanwhile, Cumming also revealed that The Traitors alum Kate Chastain would be his ideal holiday party guest. He then also recalled his experience during the first season of the show. He described how he remained relatively calm when a storm caused chaos on board a ship.
“Everyone was vomiting, and cameras were falling everywhere, and because I was below decks with Kate from Below Deck, we were just having drinks and talking,” he shared. “I loved her. She’s so precious.”
For the current season, viewers can expect plenty of drama, along with Cumming’s signature cape, sleeveless outfits and impractical look for the Scottish countryside. He also teased an exciting finale, saying, “I love the end of this season. It’s absolutely epic. Just you wait.” The season 5 finale is set to air on November 19.
