welcome back, below deck below below fan. Last week, Captain Jason stripped Jenna of a bandage after getting drunk and causing a riot around the boat. In the galley, Ben and Daisy have an altercation. Once again, Ben fails to follow his advice, and their dinner service costs them the price. Sadly, things are starting to heat up between Ben and Daisy, as seen on BDDU Season 4 Episode 17.
What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 17?
Ms. Hierarchy herself is looking for a promotion, and Ben hopes to get it. But apparently Daisy hates this story. Ellie has done nothing but cause him grief this season. A heated skirmish broke out during Crew Night, leaving Joao caught in the middle of some big egos.
Daisy gets defensive

As Daisy predicted, the guests cannot fillet their own fish. He’s only one person, so Joao and Captain Jason have to step in and help him cut each snapper to its bones. Daisy walks away to refresh a guest’s drink, just as she warned Ben she would have to do, and yet, all Ben can say is, “Daisy clearly doesn’t help me. She’s not even here.”
As expected, Ellie takes her side, eager to throw Daisy under the bus. She tells Ben, “She sits on a very high horse, and what we’ve seen from the service is a disaster.” Joao listens to their little vent session and sighs. But their guests are happy, especially when a barely dressed Captain Jason brings a birthday cake to the table.
Elsewhere, Jenna announces that “Ben and Eddie can rock. I’m determined to get my stripes back.” But he has competition. Alessia wants that promotion instead.
After dinner, Daisy goes to João’s. Ellie doesn’t respect him, and Ben never listens to her or takes accountability. Talking about Ben and Daisy, Joao says to himself, “This is a battle of two very big egos.” Daisy goes downstairs and tells Ben that their guests want continental breakfast at 9 am.
“Jason said 8,” argues Ellie, and she’s right. But after a rapid back-and-forth with Ben, Daisy becomes defensive and says, “What Tweedledee and Tweedledum don’t understand is that I’m trying to help them.” Daisy crawls into bed with Joao as Ellie prepares to tackle the next day’s breakfast service alone.

Ellie serves an extraordinary breakfast. “I’m considering promoting Ellie because I’m proud of her and I want her to take home something that will make her feel appreciated,” says Ben. He tells Captain Jason that Ellie deserves the official chef title. Daisy heard a sigh, “What the hell?”
But Captain Jason hinders his plan. He remembers, like Daisy, how poorly Ellie has behaved this season. He tells Ben, “Maybe it’s not the right time for a promotion.” Ben, thankfully, understands.
He goes back to the galley and helps Ellie make sushi. “Good job, sweetheart,” Ellie jokes, making fun of her previous irritation with Ben calling her everything except her name.
Daisy plays the radio in the galley to tell them that their guests are ready for lunch. Their radio is off, but Ellie eventually turns it on and asks for an update. Daisy, who has already moved on to something else, repeats her message. Then, Ben notices that his lobster salad has not been delivered to the table yet, so he gets on the radio and berates the interior.
“If you want to do it, you can bring it yourself, or get your assistant to bring it for you,” Daisy radioed back. Joao, Captain Jason, and Ben all agree that her reaction is “not good.” Several times later, Ben jokes with Ellie and suggests that maybe Daisy needs a demotion next.
Joao hears this, and in his confessional he admits, “I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place.” He is “Ben’s friend, and I have feelings for Daisy, so it’s hard trying to get along with two very hard-headed people.” The easiest guests ever walk away with solid reviews and a solid tip of $23,000. Eddie gets the helmet.
joao confronts ben

Daisy sends Barbie to get the comment card, but Ben says, “No.” Daisy tries to get them herself, as her team has a lot to do. Ben still refuses to hand them over, as he and Ellie are trapped as well. After several stops, everyone gets to work except Ben and Ellie who are resting.
Brandon, an elementary student, is arriving on the plane in the morning. He was almost thrown out by Captain Jason in Season 2. What could go wrong?
The party heads to the bar, where Daisy and João kiss. He believes this could be terrible for Ben. But Ben is too busy playing games with Barbie, and moves his table away from the group after every few beats. But when Ellie tells Jenna to “stop holding the charge,” chaos ensues.
Daisy tries to pull Ben over to talk about Ellie, but Ben refuses. He angrily walks back towards the boat. Jenna tells him not to go to the guest cabins, because she already “made them.” But Ben goes anyway and closes the door.
Alessia and Jenna are angry, but Daisy is over it. So, Joao goes to the engineer’s cabin and takes a key. He enters and wakes Ben up. “Piss off. Joao, get the fuck out of here,” Ben argues.
Ben also deliberately messes up the bed before following Joao into the hallway and saying, “Go on, fuck yourself, asshole,” followed by a “wanker” as Joao brushes him off, and a prompt to continue appears.
