welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean Fans! Last week, Joey struggled to please his pickiest girl, Susan. Elsewhere, the Sheetsgate story explodes, leaving several members of the crew angry at Luke. So, Luke went to the wheelhouse, and told Captain Sandy that he might need to step down. Captain Sandy overhears Luke, and this week, Luke has his fate decided on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 8.
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 8?
Luke determines his fate. But issues are still cropping up everywhere, thanks to the return of loud party boats, the struggles of two estranged relationships, and a hurricane that hits town. Things get scary on Below Deck Med season 11 as two crew members go into emergency mode.
Luke leaves Below Deck Med when Captain Sandy faces another challenging docking

To be continued… Note, Luke reappears in the wheelhouse and says, “I think the best thing for me is to get out of there.” Captain Sandy respects their decision, and she also feels “grateful”. She was struggling with how to move forward with him. When Luke asks if they can keep his decision quiet until the guests leave, Captain Sandy says yes.
Luke leaves the wheelhouse. But soon a new problem arises for Captain Sandy. 20-knot winds are predicted tomorrow. Therefore, he has to dock the yacht tonight.
In the galley, Joey modifies his guacamole to satisfy Suzanne. Speaking of satisfying Susan, she and Will are really into each other. Ayesha likes it very much. He hopes Susan will choose him and not the “incredibly rude” Billy.
As the winds pick up, Ayesha goes out to help the deck team. As they approached the pier, loud music once again started playing on the neighboring boat. The last time this happened, Captain Sandy ran into the dock. She reminds Nathan to “communicate”, and thankfully everything goes well this time.
Ayesha returns to service, where she is faced with another victory of the crew. Suzanne is finally praising Joey. Suzanne says that her food gave Suzanne the “joy of food”. In her confessional, Joey hysterically admits, “I’ve never given eight people and one dog eight orgasms in one night.”
Luke spends his last night helping Joey serve her dishes. In the morning, Nathan checked his bag. Luke tells Nathan he is leaving. Nathan understands, but he also realizes that the deck team is now “completely messed up”.
One by one, the crew learns about Luke. In her interview, Joy says that she regrets “being so hard on him”. But perhaps, Luke is hopeful that his and Joey’s paths will cross again.
calm before many storms

After breakfast, matchmaker Amy sits with the men. Amy tells them that Susan has chosen Will. The chosen ones leave. On the pier, Cooper, the last person in the dark, tells the General about Luke’s decision.
The General now has some respect for Luke. Once Amy, Susan and Will left, Luke tells the crew about his departure himself during their tip meeting. “The same water that boils eggs is the same water that softens potatoes,” Luke explains. Kat clearly laughs at his analogy.
After learning of their $25,000 tip, the crew disperses. Luke finds Joey and hugs her goodbye. Luke “made a big mess.” But Joey will still “really miss him,” she admits.
Eventually Luke left. In his final confessional, he mentions his hopes to “be on Captain Sandy’s boat again”. And then he sighs, realizing what his words really mean.
What he didn’t know was that his action prompted the General to do his own reset. Moving forward, she is adopting a new alter ego, “Zen General”.
Joe and Cooper save the day while Nathan finds himself on the hot seat

Cooper “wants to enjoy being alone.” On the opposite end of that spectrum, new mom Gail is “sleep-deprived.” Ayesha encourages Nathan to go home as soon as possible.
At the restaurant, Kelly and Joe make out while Cooper hangs out with everyone else except Kat. Across the table, Gail sent Nathan an urgent message, telling him to come home right away if possible. Nathan tells Ayesha that everything is too much to handle.
Joey also receives a message, but it is from Luke. He’s not abandoning them, Luke insists. But Kat might be leaving Cooper. She pulls him aside for a quick conversation.
Cooper is on his mind, he tells Kat, but he promises to do better. As the camera pans to Nathan and Gail, he and Kat kiss. Gayle is struggling deeply. Nathan consoles her and the camera pans out giving them space.
Overnight the storm becomes worse. Captain Sandy wakes up Joe and Cooper, the only deckhand on the ship. As lightning strikes around their heads, Joe and Cooper quickly secure the boat.
The next morning, Nathan runs late. “It’s outrageous, it’s unacceptable, and frankly, it’s out of character,” Captain Sandy explained in his interview. She sends a message to Nathan. He answers, telling her he is on his way.
Once on board Captain Sandy asks, “Where have you been?” Nathan says nothing while once again, the words CONTINUE… fill the screen.
Below Deck Mediterranean Continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It flows on the peacock.
