Is there a Baywatch rivalry going on between Brooks Nader and Levi Dunn?
Brooks seems to have the advantage in terms of onscreen presence, as she plays lifeguard Captain Selene, appearing in every episode of the reboot of the iconic ’90s show. Compared to Dunn’s appearance in only three episodes, this appears to give him the edge.
However, things may not be that simple as Dunn, the gymnast-turned-influencer who plays junior lifeguard Grace, wields massive onscreen influence through her army of followers, which didn’t go unnoticed during filming.
The rivalry is reportedly creating real “tension” between the two actresses as they can be heard openly discussing their ideas about who will carry on Anderson’s legacy, and therefore copy his fame and fortune.
Their on-set clash is also fueling heated online scenes as both actresses try to secure their place as former blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson.
The rumored conflict spilled over into real life, reportedly during the shooting of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Carpet event, where Brooks appeared hyper-focused on how Livvy was being portrayed by the media. He was reportedly seen giving camera suggestions that would capture Dunn’s best angles as the stars posed together.
The original Baywatch achieved tremendous popularity and reached over a billion weekly viewers at its peak. Pamela Anderson’s character, CJ Parker, served as the definitive red swimsuit-wearing face of ’90s pop culture.
So, it’s not surprising that the reboot is already highly anticipated and the leading ladies are busy securing their place in the spotlight.
