Chuck Lorre responds to White House criticism in sarcastic Georgie and Mandy’s first wedding vanity card
Chuck Lorre fired back at the White House via a vanity card, a venue where he often shares his opinions. At the end of the Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage season 3 premiere, she addressed White House spokesperson Davis Ingle’s comments.
Lorre wrote, “A White House spokesperson recently announced that I need psychological help. I don’t disagree. I’m not a big fan of mood-altering drugs or electroshock therapy, you know, ‘Cuckoo’s Nest’ stuff.”
He said he might consider talking to a trained professional who would help him address childhood experiences that have negatively impacted his behavior.
Lorre wrote, “(The likely culprit may have been the weekly nuclear bomb drills in grade school. This included hiding under my desk to avoid ribbons being cut through the classroom windows.) It may also be worth investigating whether toxins in my environment bear any responsibility for my ‘disease.’ (Can’t ignore all those mesothelioma ads.) Regardless of how we proceed, I’m taking this public action for the sake of my mental health. “I appreciate the concern. It’s reassuring to know that my government is taking care of me.”
Lorre’s response came after Ingle told Fox News, “Chuck Lorre should immediately seek psychiatric help to treat his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, which has completely messed up his peanut-sized brain.”
The White House came under criticism after Lorre took aim at Trump during her Founders Award speech. according to DiversityHe said in his speech, “The courage to say that Donald Trump is a Russian asset who traded teenagers with Jeffrey Epstein, and the wisdom to end on a cheap laugh.”
Earlier, Lorre was asked about the state of America under Trump and she called him a “bloated orange piece.”
Lorre has often used her vanity card to comment on the Trump administration, and her latest response continued that pattern.
