Donald Trump announces a high-profile event to mark America’s 250th anniversary
in a post on true social Trump unveiled the plans on June 15. The 80-year-old wrote, “We are going to host the most spectacular Trump rally of them all, ‘Tribute to America.’ This massive celebration, starting at 7 pm EST, will honor our country’s people, spirit, strength, resolve and victory.
Adding, “Around the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and the beautiful new Reflecting Pool, more than 300 members of our strong and talented military bands, orchestras and ceremonial units will perform patriotic tunes and American classics, and my playlist (we will have none of those people who put you to sleep and constantly complain!), as we celebrate our country, and rally around the next 250 years.”
In his announcement, Trump wrote that the event would feature the largest joint military musical and ceremonial event in history, as well as flyovers and airshows showcasing top military pilots and equipment. He also said that he would deliver a keynote speech which he described as unforgettable. He further said that the event will conclude with the biggest fireworks show in history in the country’s capital.
