In response, Baldwin posted a stunning photo of the actress and added, “Dear Elon…but she’s the most beautiful woman in the world…Alec.”
Nolan told time magazine about his plans regarding the film, including casting Nyong’o as Helen of Troy. The actress plays central characters in Homer’s Iliad and the Odyssey, where she starts the famous Trojan War. The character remains an icon of ultimate beauty and is often referred to as “the face that launched a thousand ships”.
Musk’s criticism has sparked significant controversy and backlash, with many calling the comments historically inaccurate. Baldwin changed the story by claiming she was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Whoopi Goldberg also came to Baldwin’s defense and attacked Musk directly on The View, saying, “If you have any concerns about people’s appearance I would suggest looking in the mirror.”
The Odyssey is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026, and features a stellar cast including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Zendaya as Athena, Charlize Theron as Calypso, and Robert Pattinson as Antinous.
