Forum members review Nicolas Ghesquière’s ‘concise’ Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 collection

On the closing day of Paris Fashion Week, the schedule of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode presented Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring 2027 collection at Louis Vuitton. The renowned designer transformed the Louvre courtyard into a retro-inspired carpark. The models (including Avar Odhiang and Mona Tougaard) emerged from backstage as floating automobiles appeared on the runway. Crisp shirts, sequin dresses, ruffled collars, metallic fringes, pops of color, were on display. “I wanted to express a feeling of simplicity – a search for purity,” Ghesquière said after the unveiling of the mind-blowing collection.

“Ineffective and forgettable.” (imjustken)

“It’s really horrible. One of the ugliest collections I’ve ever seen.” (magical spells)

“It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it’s refreshing to see that Ng can still mix it up and offer wearable clothes for everyday. I really enjoyed the casual tailoring.” (mesmerizedp321)

“Loved everything. It’s a very concise collection that isn’t interested in anything more than being light, modest and wearable. I’m glad he went for an easier silhouette because it’s a side he doesn’t often lean on in his more tailored offerings. I think the color palette is my favorite thing about it. Especially the sheer silver dresses.” (Squizzry)

“This was a definite highlight for me! Long dresses are especially nice!” (mrs t)

“What a refreshing collection…” (lola701)

“I think it was good, but it didn’t impress me one bit. I believe I’ve had enough of Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton. We have some great collections and some very bad ones, and I’m ready to move on. The formula is starting to feel stale to me, and the constant experimentation and mixing of references doesn’t impress me anymore.” (givenchyhome)
