John Oliver appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, where he made fun of ex-Prince Andrew’s now-viral arrest photo. The television host, a longtime critic of the royal family, admitted he was “very happy (the arrest) happened.”

When Meyers showed the viral image, Oliver quipped, “I think it might be one of the best photos ever taken.” The comedian joked, “You know, at the end of the year, they do kind of a photo of the year. And it’s often like a frog jumping out of a lily pad, or you know, an eagle flying with something in its mouth. Sure. Could it get any better than that?”

Oliver continued, “I will give the Range Rover credit as a car. They’re doing something with their windshields. It means that somehow, you can get cameras to shoot the Windsor family so beautifully in their darkest moments. That thousand yards away from Dr. Wicked’s hands. There’s nothing about it I don’t like.”

Former Prince Andrew was arrested at King Charles III’s Sandringham estate on Thursday. Authorities took her into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office linked to her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. When she was later released from Aylsham police station in Norfolk, Mountbatten-Windsor was photographed sitting in the back seat of a car with a stunned expression on her face. This picture quickly became a viral meme.

Both Meyers and Oliver shared a laugh about the photo, with Meyers comparing it to “a vampire going back into the coffin”. Oliver then concluded, “The thing that’s so confusing about the Epstein files is to see people who feel like they’re untouchable, not being touched. I think seeing someone like that in that situation, that’s why I like that image so much. I think it’s high art.”
