School parents reportedly had only kind things to say about Prince William and Kate Middleton as they organized games for Prince George’s birthday party (via) Royal Observer).
Daily Beast reporter Tom Sykes shared details about him substackThe Royalist. Sykes claimed to have spoken to the parents of George’s teammates, who revealed some intricate details about his birthday party at Forest Lodge. Quoting one mother, Sykes wrote: “I went to the house for a kid’s birthday party, and (Prince William and Princess Kate) were organizing games.”
These included classic favorites such as Rounders. The unnamed mother chimed in: “Any one of us would rather call an entertainer and sit at home and drink rosé.”
Royal editor Emily Andrews spoke to Sykes and also contributed to that article, revealing what Wales’ close friends said about him. The close friend claimed that William and Kate have given their three children an incredibly normal upbringing despite their royal status. The friend noted how “the Prince always wanted to give them the normal upbringing that he did not have.”
Andrews revealed how William and Kate’s low-key approach to hosting parties left fellow school parents “gently surprised”. Additionally, George is set to attend his father’s alma mater, Eton College, and will begin his first term this September.
