On June 9, 32-year-old William Applegate was arrested By local law enforcement when he was found outside the singer sabrina carpenterProperty in Los Angeles. Police arrived at the scene following reports that the man refused to leave the premises despite protests from private security.
Carpenter reportedly said the man is a “complete stranger” and says she has “never met him or communicated with him in any way.”

Carpenter obtained a restraining order from the court, prohibiting the pursuer from approaching or visiting her. The order states that Applegate must stay at least 100 yards away from her home, her vehicle and protest sites.
In an interesting turn of events, Applegate’s defense attorney filed formal opposition papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeking to officially overturn the temporary order and prevent it from being expanded into a permanent, multi-year injunction.
Applegate’s legal team argues that the current order is too restrictive and limits her rights. They are contesting Carpenter’s claims, saying Applegate’s presence near Carpenter’s property was merely an attempt to deliver fan mail and did not pose a threat consistent with the restraining order.
In fact, Applegate has claimed that the legal action against her was not Carpenter’s personal choice, but rather “was carried out against Carpenter’s will as an artifact of the malicious instructions of a military government program by his employed security group and the Los Angeles Police Department, in conjunction with his legal team.”
Carpenter’s legal team has responded by threatening to vigorously oppose Stoker’s petition at an upcoming formal hearing later this month. Insiders claim that Carpenter has increased security protocols after achieving global fame. This makes the restraining order a strong testament to permanently blocking Applegate’s access.
