The second part of the reunion picks up where the tension left off last time. Andy asks Amy why so many people had to explain to her why “unsafe” was a microaggression.

Emmy stops by, and it looks like she may bring back everything we’ve seen all season. But surprisingly she says this because she doesn’t listen. She admits that she is an emotional terrorist in the sense that when she is angry, she is unable to see beyond her emotions.

She shares that Lake and Michaels have worked to educate her on this sensitive topic, and she knows she didn’t treat it with the respect she deserved. Amy apologizes to Brad again, saying that she will never understand what it’s like to be him and the depth of his words.

She felt attacked and didn’t understand what “microaggression” actually meant, which made her actions “buttsh*t crazy.” Amy admitted that she was embarrassed and it took her a long time to understand.

While Brad wants to believe that she is being truthful, he naturally fears that she will take it back like she has done again and again.

After her apology, Brad asks Amy why she kept going even though she knew she hurt him. For his part, he said that after Folly Beach, he was keen to move on.

Amy responded because she felt that he had invaded her privacy by recording her conversation with Will. But Brad points out that she doesn’t need to say that he followed her to her hotel room. She reminded him that she had called him stalker, insecure, and some evil lunatic. Also, what she told her friend Lucia about him, that she said, “Sleep with one eye open”, was absolutely false.

Even Andy asked why Amy kept repeating her statements about Brad when she admitted that she never feared for his physical safety. When she said scared, Emmy meant that she was scared for her emotional safety. He was afraid of revenge. It’s justified because of what Brad did to Maddie.

The play ends with Brad saying he’s glad Amy learned a lesson about how words affect others. However it looks like their work is done.

Michels and Lake talk about their situation during the microaggression drama

Andy asked Michaels how he felt seeing Amy say that he should support her as her friend, even though she was wrong. Michaels says it was difficult because he didn’t agree with her at all. So he had to take a step back.

Lake admitted that she had several conversations with Amy to explain the microaggressions, and that it was frustrating. Lake does not forgive what Emmy did, but she says she has compassion for people who make mistakes.

Andy also told Lake’s mother not to “talk to white people about black people’s business”, and Lake revealed that her mother also talked to Amy about what happened.

However, despite Amy’s apology, the blowback was too much, and it hurt more than just her and Brad.

Brad admitted that there was about 85% support from fans, but there were also people who said very racist and horrible things to him. It wasn’t just as a black man. It was about someone who was different, and Michaels immediately agreed.

The crew talks about love, relationships and hookups

Andy moves on to more light-hearted questions and takes a deeper look at everyone’s relationships.

Amy and Will are getting married in England in the summer of 2027. She has already chosen a dress. Brad and Julia have been together for two years and are doing great!

Andy asks what happened with Oisin and Lake after the prom. Joe essentially busted them, so we all know the answer. However, Lake clarified that she did not have a threesome with Joe after his birthday party.

Andy then mentions Justin hooking up with Jordan, dating Mia, and then saying that he thinks he’s going to propose to Charlie in the same season. Justin admits that he thinks Charlie is the love of his life.

He also addressed rumors about his sexuality, as some people said he was a victim of homosexuality. But for Justin, his sexuality is fluid, and he’s open-minded. He likes what he likes.

Mia and Troy still talk, but the breakup still remains. Mia won’t go to Charlotte, so she can’t stay with her until Troy comes to Charleston. Lake accused Mia of cheating on Troy before Hawaii, but she denied it.

Michaels says Mia also lied about not having an affair with West. He says Mia asked Sally to sleep with West because “the d*ck was so nice.” At first, Mia looked like she was going to deny it, but then Leva co-signed it and said she was there when Mia told Sally. Long story short: Mia slept with West.

Jordan, Justin, and Mia… (and Lake too!)

Lake brings out Jordan in all of these. She thinks Justin downplayed her “status” in front of the camera. She has some insinuations between Justin and Jordan that make it more serious than she’s letting on, but she says she never gave Jordan exclusivity.

Lake even said that Jordan met Justin’s parents. He explains that this happened only because she came to his house unannounced and uninvited while he was there.

Both Lake and Maddie believe that Justin was leading Jordan on. And maybe he was, but the fact is that they weren’t exclusive. Could he have handled it better? Absolutely! But a man who buys toothbrushes in bulk to distribute at his place hasn’t really cheated.

Mia, who was entertaining Justin, also got Lake behind her. But it goes deeper than that. Lake says Mia had previously talked to her ex-boyfriend about cheating on her when they went out. She doesn’t think Mia is a girl’s girl.

According to Mia, Lake asked her to find out why her ex was there. But Lake says she is lying. The conversation progressed rapidly. Eventually, Mia reveals that she has already apologized for talking to Lake’s ex-girlfriend at Joe’s emo party. Lake said he did not do it, but video evidence proved otherwise.

The lake does not forgive him. Mia doesn’t care.

Maddie and Joe have a son… a fur baby!

As far as relationships go, Maddie and Joe have taken a step forward in their relationship. They have adopted a fur baby named Ozzie! Joe spends most of his time with Maddie, but they are not officially together yet.

Maddie honestly admits that she still has a little hesitation, but she thinks their relationship is going in the right direction. The dog was a great first step.

Andy asked her about her egg-freezing journey and Maddie revealed that she had done it. Freezing her eggs made her feel empowered and now allows her to live her life on her timeline.

Talking about Maddie and Joe inevitably brings up comments from Molly and TJ that Maddie didn’t see herself marrying Joe. TJ admits that he was harassed when he brought it up at the party, but Molly stands by it.

Maddie said that this is a complete lie. As the two girls talk, it seems as if they are both lost in translation. Maddie might have said she hadn’t seen it yet, but Molly acted as if Maddie had never seen it.

Leva accomplished it and paved the way for those who want it

The reunion ends with Joe saying that if they want to move forward they have to stop talking trash. Leyva says that everyone has to decide who they want to be friends with and move forward from there.

She sheds light on what she has seen – Brad is hurt, Joe misses his boys, Amy feels alone, and Grace needs support but doesn’t know how to ask for it. Leyva reveals that one side of the reunion is the high-spirited group (Emmy, Michaels, Lake and Grace).

On the other side are more logical people who can do the division (TJ, Brad, Mia and Molly). Perhaps they can’t repair fences properly because they don’t understand how others work.

Leyva says there is a lot of love out there, but everyone needs to work on their personal relationships. She enjoys the season with martinis and weenies and reminds them that this is the best time of their lives and that they need to protect their friendships.

Best wishes for another exciting season of Southern hospitality! Can’t wait to get back to Republic!
