She shared a photo of herself wearing a ring that reads “Nolan Wells.” Lee’s post was inspired by his 1989 film Do the Right Thing, which explores tension, injustice and conflict. His post comes as Nolan Wells’ family continues to demand a federal investigation Case Amid racial tensions surrounding his death.

Wells went missing on Horn Island off the coast of Mississippi. His body was found on the island two days later. The manner and cause of his death are uncertain. His family and the attorney representing them, Ben Crump, have called for a federal investigation after a Jackson County grand jury declined to indict anyone in the case.
