Sydney Sweeney turns Cindy Lou in tiny SYRN plaid micro shorts for holiday campaign
Sydney Sweeney is gearing up for the holiday season with new pieces from SYRN. In her newly released clip for the second look, her outfit had an unmistakable holiday charm, clearly referencing Cindy Lou Who’s whimsical Whoville aesthetic while putting a modern, playful spin on the classic festive outfit. For those who don’t know, the character appears in Dr. Seuss’s children’s Christmas book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” Is from.
The “Euphoria” star wore plaid micro shorts cut from a crisp, light-colored fabric with delicate red and dark crisscross stripes. The shorts were high on her thighs and she had gifts in her arms with a Christmas tree in the background. She paired the tiny bottoms with a plunging top. The fitted, corset-inspired bodice also featured a similar coordinating grid pattern.
Sweeney completed the look by draping a white capelet over her shoulders. Capelet, decorated with white artificial fur along the neckline and perimeter, tied neatly at the neck. It provided a sharp contrast against the lighting patterns below, reinforcing the classic holiday color palette. Additionally, creamy white thigh-high stockings created a continuous line down from the short hemline.
Even the 29-year-old woman’s hairstyle paid homage to Cindy Lou Who. She wore her golden blonde hair in a long, conical topcoat that reached high above her head. From the base of the updo, two stiff, loop-shaped braids extended outward before looping back inward toward the head. A large, structured ribbon bow with the same plaid pattern as her outfit sat atop her head, adding to the eccentricity.
