Sydney Sweeney hails lingerie line as empowering for women in Cosmopolitan interview
Sydney Sweeney defended SYRN’s approach in an interview, emphasizing empowerment, self-confidence and personal choice Cosmopolitan. She said, “People will say, ‘Oh, she’s doing it for the boys,’ or ‘Oh, she’s a boy’s girl.’ But I believe, ‘What could be better than owning your body and doing it for yourself?’ I want it to be their choice – the wearer’s choice – whether it’s for them, someone else, or the camera lens.
The first part of the “Anyone But You” star’s new lingerie line arrived on January 28, featuring pieces from the persona, ‘Seductress’. The brand consists of three other personalities in which the lingerie is divided. These are ‘playful,’ ‘cozy,’ and ‘romantic.’ SYRN is available in 44 different sizes ranging from 30B to 42DDD. Additionally, most styles cost less than $100.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney opened up about the non-negotiables behind the creation of SYRN. She revealed that the design team is entirely female and the models represent a variety of body types. Sweeney emphasized that making every woman feel comfortable and confident in SYRN lingerie was one of her top priorities.
The 28-year-old star explained that she refuses to make anything that she herself wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing. Swinney also reflected on a beloved lingerie piece she relied on over the years, recalling, “In sixth grade, I was a 32 DD, and I remember going to the store to get my first wire bra. It was silk and was the only bra I felt good in. I wore it until it literally had holes in it.” He said his goal is to design underwear that will last with women over time.
