But Rosie thinks it’s actually because she has a house, a husband, and a career, all of which Kelsey doesn’t.
What happened to The Real Housewives of Rhode Island Episode 7?
This week on Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 1 Episode 7, “Boats, Lies & Videotapes”, Kelsey and Rosie try to stay cordial while continuing their Newport trip. The heart-to-heart bond between Jo-Ellen and Alicia runs deep. We learn about even more shocking hookups from Jo-Ellen’s past. Rulla claims that she missed the trip due to illness. but she’s gonna In fact She becomes ill when she finds out about a video Brian sent to Jo-Ellen.
Kelsey and Rosie can’t get on the same page
The episode starts with Alicia talking to her dolls (of course) while Kelsey and Rosie think about their fight. Rosie’s husband Rich has the same theory – that Kelsey is doing it because she doesn’t have property, a spouse, or a career. After the fight, Rosie had to spend the entire night vomiting. She also hears mysterious laughter – Alicia asks if they could be dolls.
At breakfast, Kelsey said she was being nice to Rosie, but Rosie continued to offer indirect praise. The conversation goes nowhere. Alicia interrupts Liz and asks if Rosie’s mask is an alter ego like Beyoncé’s Sasha Fierce. Be careful of this escalating feud, because as funny as Alicia is (she calls Epsom salts “Epstein salts”), Liz is reaching a limit. Also, Ashley starts crying while defending Rosie.
Kelsey and Rosie don’t get anywhere until they both talk one-on-one later. Then, they are able to accept that they have both come to an impasse. Kelsey insists that she wants to be friends with Rosie, and they agree to move in.
Alicia messages Rula, who claims she left the trip because she was too sick. She spends the entire day in bed and says she went to the hospital, but tests found nothing wrong. Jo-Ellen explains that this is the second time Rulla has missed a group event because she went to the hospital.
Jo-Ellen and Alicia have a heart-to-heart
While the others go on a giant inflatable water slide, Jo-Ellen and Alicia decide to take a walk. During the car ride there, driver Jamie reveals that he lived in the mansion during college, and there are definitely ghosts there. This leads production to realize that Alicia cannot pronounce plural ghosts. Evil spirit.
While Alicia remembers that Jo-Ellen was sent away when they were in school (and reveals that Jen was sent away first!) she doesn’t know the details. Jo-Ellen revealed that she was sent three different times, starting in the seventh grade. The first was drug rehab, and he was sent home because he had never used drugs. Her mother claimed she was a prostitute, but Jo-Ellen said she was not doing anything. Third place was the worst and she stayed there for over a year. His mother bailed him out when the state was about to take full custody. The experience was so terrifying that it drove Jo-Ellen to commit suicide.
Alicia wonders how Jo-Ellen’s mother could do this… just as she wonders how her father could leave her. She breaks down and admits that this is why she doesn’t want to get married. Who will walk her down the aisle? With the men in her life, Alicia always wanted to be the one who moved first.
Although they have known each other forever, Jo-Ellen and Alicia feel very close after this. However, somehow, Alicia didn’t bring any crackers to make him feel better!
Ashley and Liz have a moment
Rosie, Ashley and Kelsey have fun on the giant inflatable slide. They flirt with the butlers, especially 23-year-old Boris, who eventually takes off his shirt and joins in the fun. Kelsey says that Boris is too young for her, while Rosie says that he is not that rich. Ashley thinks Jared is more attractive than any of the young butlers.
Meanwhile, Liz becomes fed up with these antics, and has no interest in flirting with a twenty-year-old girl, so she moves back inside. She admits that being friends with girls young enough to be her children can be exhausting. Ashley goes in to check on her, and Liz says she’s a good friend for doing so. Ashley eventually sees Liz’s softer side behind her tough exterior, calling her “Lambi Liz”. However, we know that this friendship does not last.
Jo-Ellen did What On the boat? and together Whom?
To cap off the trip Liz has planned an activity more at her pace, a sunset cruise. The Captain is hot and single, so Jo-Ellen jokes that she should set him up with Jane. She’s always looking for a man for her sister… partly because Jen still says she needs to find “her Gary” because she set the bar so high! Jo-Ellen says in a flashback, “It was 30 years ago, get over it.”
Unfortunately, Ashley leaves early as her son ends up in the hospital. As Liz can tell, he’s crossed state lines to reach his girls (and his cat).
On the boat, we learn a few more things Alicia likes: a pink hat, a tequila, and a pita chip.
We also learned that Jo-Ellen hooked up with Kelsey’s ex-girlfriend! Kelsey claims she was on a boat with another woman, and Jo-Ellen’s voice was so loud they could hear her from above the deck! Jo-Ellen says it was on the ground. Also, she dated the ex-husband’s brother, but the implication is that Kelsey’s ex-husband was better in bed!
Kelsey vows to move on with Rosie. Jo-Ellen jokes that she has to hold her tongue, even as Rosie starts claiming that the house is worth millions of square feet. But Rosie warns that she’s a Taurus, and they forgive but don’t forget. We’ll see if she can forgive or forget that Alicia accidentally called her “Lindsay!” Said.
Jo-Ellen finds evidence for Rulla
Remember the polo match when Jo-Ellen promised she’d provide proof of Brian’s affair to Rula? Well, when they get back to the mansion Joe shows Liz a video he got from a mutual friend with the mistress. Both are scared after seeing the footage.
When they rejoin the group, Jo-Ellen and Liz can’t hide their horrified expressions. Liz tells Joe to “drop the hounds” and show the video to the others.
Although we don’t see the footage, the women describe it for us. In the video, filmed from the car window, Brian is seen embracing his mistress for a long time, like a “five-minute hug.” He also grabs her ass and kisses it. Also, the video was taken two days before the polo match. And it shows Brian in his red interior car… the same car whose owner posted the photos.
Jo-Ellen says this is the hard evidence Rulla asked for, and Liz says she can’t deny the video. Kelsey predicts that Rula will write it off as Brian ending things. But Liz insists that they have to show it to her. Jo-Ellen doesn’t want to get any more involved than before, and Liz knows that if she does, it will be another matter.but she’s mom” moment. They look at Alicia, who is closest to Rulla. Alicia (and others) say “not like that,” but next week Alicia and Billy will have dinner with Rulla and Brian… so the saga continues.
