Travis Kelce quipped that a Chiefs loss could potentially ruin his 37th birthday. The Chiefs tight end discussed his birthday celebration with his brother Jason Kelce on the October 7 episode of the New Heights Podcast. For those who don’t know, the Chiefs enter their bye week on a winning streak after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Kelce shared that it was “nice” to have people wish her a happy birthday. He further said that it was a good and fun day. He confirmed that he went to Torrisi’s restaurant, one of his “favorite places” in NYC, and spent time with his wife.
Furthermore, he admitted: “And the best news I got on my birthday was that we got a win. That’s how happy I was around my birthday. In the bye (week) I got a win, and we’re 4 and 0.” Kelce was referring to the Chiefs’ 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
His brother Jason prodded further and questioned whether losing would have ruined his 37th birthday plans. The Chief’s tough ending revealed that losing “ruins” everyone’s life and if they had lost, it would have ruined their birthday plans. Plus, Kelsey confessed that he’s not big on birthdays and he didn’t even get a cake. However, Torrisi went out of his way to present the couple with a variety of sweets. Finally, he talked about his plans for the bye week, which include working out and watching sports on TV. The Chiefs are scheduled to play against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18.
