Alan Ritchson says former business partner threatened to accuse him of rape
Alan Ritchson appeared at Fan Expo Canada, where he spoke about the difficult times in his life. She alleged that when her former business partner refused to meet her at a hotel in Cannes, he threatened to accuse her of rape.
He said, “I was in my mid-30s. I was depressed for the first time, and I was depressed because I had done everything right, and I had a falling out with a business partner who threatened… if I didn’t go to her hotel room, at the Hotel du Cap in Cannes while I was there selling a movie, a big success for her company that I was running, that she would call TMZ and tell the reporter that I had raped her in Cannes, and she Will ruin my life.”
Richeson described this threat as an attempt to blackmail him into going to the hotel, which he refused to do.
He continued, “So it was like she was blackmailing me to come forward, and I said, ‘No, I’m not doing that.’ I did not mean to do it.”
He said the incident left him overwhelmed with uncertainty and depression, adding, “I am a suicidal person.”
Ritchson said, “I lost everything in that relationship. She was a billionaire, and she ruined every part of our business and I suffered a lot. And, you know, because of the threat hanging over my head I hired a litigator to fight back.”

He was heartbroken by the experience, but he also reflected on what he learned from it.
His comments came after he and his wife Katherine announced their divorce after 20 years of marriage.
