The latest tension reportedly comes after a California court ordered Cosby to pay $59 million to former waitress Donna Motsinger, who accused him of assaulting her in 1972. A jury ruled in Motsinger’s favor earlier this year.
The legal decision comes after years of lawsuits and public controversy surrounding the entertainer.
At least 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault over the years, allegations he has repeatedly denied. In 2018, he was convicted in Pennsylvania of assaulting Andrea Constand.
