Dave White was a Bravo fan favorite when he appeared on Below Deck
Below Deck chefs plan the menu, provision their supplies, and cook 100% of the food they prepare on board, making them some of the top chefs in the industry. Well, most of the time. There are some people who have licked their microwaved steaks, but we’re digressing.
That said, when Chef Dave White appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7, his skills immediately became apparent, and he quickly became a fan-favorite chef on the series.
Sadly, Dave only lasted one season. But the star of this new father is still at its peak. Proving our point, Dave recently appeared on Season 41 of Beat Bobby Flay, where he proceeded to compete against Bobby in a Fish and Chips Showdown. However, he cut off his finger in the middle of his challenge.
As parade Reported, this “competition certainly tested” Dave. “I cut my hand while cooking using a brand new knife and continued eating with one hand because I knew I still had a shot,” he said. And luckily Dave’s efforts were successful. The judges unanimously declared his fish and chips over Bobby’s Indian-inspired fusion dish the winner, and as a result, Dave had to say, “I’m Dave White, and I beat Bobby Flay!”
When Dave shared a clip of his win online, Nathan Gallagher appeared in his comments. “Legend Friend!” Nathan wrote. Everyone is thrilled for Dave, from his fans to his fellow yachties on Bravo. And Dave probably agrees, because, going into this competition, he “honestly thought I was unmatched.”
