Hannah Waddingham recently talked about her relationship with Jason Sudeikis on the set of Ted Lasso. The 51-year-old actress hinted at behind-the-scenes conflict, saying they have an “ongoing love-hate relationship”.

according to DiversitySeason three was delayed due to production problems, including reports of Sudeikis undergoing extensive script rewriting. During an interview with the outlet, when the Emmy winner was asked if season four had gone more smoothly, Waddingham replied, “Because of the nature of Sudeikis’s work, there’s always a little give and take within a scene. He hears it in the room, and then we tweak. With that guy, you have to roll with the punches. He and I have a love-hate relationship that he would change at the last minute. Is.”
Since its debut in 2020, the Emmy-winning series stars her as Rebecca Welton and Sudeikis as Ted Lasso. Waddingham, who has appeared in films such as Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, talked about his ideal relationship, saying, “I love that we go against the grain. And they’re definitely soulmates, but that could mean a lot of things.” He acknowledged fans’ expectations of a romance but avoided discussing it further. “I love all the relationships in it.”
Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, which also stars Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, will return with its fourth season on August 5.
In a separate interview with deadlineWaddingham said she would be happy to continue the show for more seasons. “I’ll keep doing it until I’m 80. I love it. I love Rebecca Welton, my character, and the writing is fantastic. Jason Sudeikis and the writers’ room, it’s like a finely tuned machine. And the life lessons that make you realize they’re just tipping in here and there, it’s fantastic.”
